MacGregor Downs Country Club is Hiring an Assistant Swim Coach Near Cary, NC
- The Assistant Coach will be with MacGregor Downs Swim Team, the MacDolphins. The position will be held from May 2024-late June 2024 with the chance to return the following season.
- The Assistant Coach is responsible for making sure that weekly plans are in place for practices, and that swimmers are receiving proper instruction
- The Assistant Coachis expected to exemplify professionalism and safety while representing MacGregor Downs Country Club.
- The Assistant Coach is expected to work with the Head Coach on anything related to the overall MacDolphins Swim Team. We are seeking to hire two more people for this position.
- Oversee swimmers in pool during Meets and Practices
- Oversee safety and organization of all Swim Team practices.
- Aid Head Coach Create Heat Sheets using Swimmingly Mondays nights.
- Specializes in technique assistance for each stroke
- Keep record of swimmer evaluations and progression throughout the season.
- Oversees swimmer curriculum in good sportsmanship, character building, team spirit, and perseverance, as well as good practice behavior.
- Opportunity to instruct private swim lessons for additional pay.
- Attend a Championship meet and Swim Team Banquet at the end of the season.
- High School Diploma or Equivalence.
- Legal Age or older.
- Previous swim coach experience.
- Familiarity and working knowledge of swim technique and strokes.
- CPR/First Aid Certified.
- Attend coach's clinic in May.
- This position starts in May is is completed at the end of June.
- This does not include any private lessons you may ascertain while at MacGregor Downs.
- Compensation $2250-2500 for season.
